TUNGALOY EXPANDS DRILLMEISTER DMC RANGE WITH 6.0 – 7.9 MM DIAMETERS
Tungaloy has expanded its DrillMeister exchangeable head drill system by adding DMC drill heads in a diameter range from 6.0 mm to 7.9 mm (.2362″ - .3110″) to address precision drilling of small bores.
DrillMeister is designed to provide high precision holes at a lower cost. It uses exchangeable drill heads to eliminate the need and cost of regrinding, while its unique interlocking design with precision interface guarantees drill rigidity and index repeatability of each drill head. This ensures high performance and tool life predictability, while also reducing the number of drills needed in inventory.
The new range of DMC drill heads enables high precision drilling of small bores ranging from 6.0 mm to 7.9 mm. The drill head is designed with unique self-centering geometry that allows the drill to readily bite into the material and continue drilling without the guidance of a pre-drilled pilot hole usually required in deep hole operations. In addition, its double land margins provide excellent guidance to ensure hole quality that is equivalent of solid carbide drills.
