Renishaw presented its latest industrial automation hardware at TechniShow 2026 in Utrecht, Netherlands, focusing on standardized solutions for robotic accuracy and automated cell recovery. These technologies address the technical requirement for consistent, traceable performance in high-volume manufacturing environments, such as aerospace and automotive production.

Enhancing Robotic Precision and Uptime
The integration of robotics into a digital supply chain requires high levels of spatial accuracy and the ability to recover from mechanical deviations without manual intervention. The RCS product series utilizes specialized toolkits, including the L-90 and T-90, designed for in-field health checks and performance diagnostics. These tools allow technical operators to execute mastering routines and verify circular path accuracy, ensuring that the robot's kinematic model remains within specified tolerances during operation.

A critical challenge in automated cells is the downtime associated with collisions or routine maintenance. The P-series robot probing system enables in-process metrology and automatic cell recovery. By utilizing standardized probing routines, the system can recalculate part frames and recalibrate spindle positions automatically. This mechanism minimizes the need for manual teaching of points, which typically introduces human error and extends production halts.

Integrated Shop-Floor Metrology
Beyond robotic calibration, the technical display at Jaarbeurs included the Equator-X gauging system and AGILITY coordinate measuring machines (CMM). These systems provide high-speed comparative gauging and absolute measurement on the shop floor, supporting closed-loop process control. When integrated with the Haberle cell, these tools allow for the immediate adjustment of machining offsets based on real-time measurement data.

Blake Kendrick, Global Sales & Marketing Manager for industrial automation products at Renishaw, noted that the systems are designed to simplify the setup of automatic recovery routines within automated workflows. This capability is essential for businesses seeking to maintain productivity through traceable and repeatable robotic performance. By providing a suite of calibration and gauging hardware, the company addresses the industry's shift toward the "Factory of the Future," where autonomous error correction is a fundamental requirement.
